The Zamfara State government under the able leadership of Hon. (Dr) Bello Muhammad Matawallen Maradun has today paid September stipend to about one thousand (1,000) people Including fifty (50) payment agents for the obtaining sustainable livelihood among the vulnerable people in the state.
The ten thousand (N10,000) monthly stipends comes under YECO program which is one of the empowerment schemes introduced by the state governor, Honourable Bello Muhammad Matawallen Maradun.
The gesture is aimed at supporting the unemployed youths and women in the state to participate in to small and medium scale businesses so as to improve their well-being and consumption level.
Kafilu Global Resources is one of the five payment companies that are operating under YECO, which were said to have paid almost 200 beneficiaries, and the payment was actually goes simultaneously without any irregularities.
The Managing director of the company, Malam Kafilu Abdullahi Banki advised the beneficiaries to be judicious and reasonable, while investing the money in order to meet the state government programme’s aim of taking the vulnerable people out of poverty.
Some of the beneficiaries who spoke at the event after receiving the money, expressed joy and thanks the state governor over the gesture and promised to make good use of the stipend in line with the aims and objectives of the programme.
